ProgramsCore Mentorship Program - A mentor spends 3-6 hours a week with a child for 1 year or more. Benefit: Provides youth with a positive adult role model who can teach the child trust, respect, empathy and assist with academic skills. After School Program - The mentor spends 2-3 hours a week with a child for the school year. Benefit: Provides youth with positive experiences and opportunities to make good choices and improve academically and socially. Study Buddy Program - The mentor meets 2 hours a week with a ESL (English as a second language) student for the school year or longer to improve their language/academic and social skills. Benefit: Provides ESL students with the opportunity to increase their academic skills and social interaction. Youth Services Program - Middle/high school students aid elementary children in reading or math 1 to 2 hours a week in a supervised setting. Benefit: Provides younger students opportunities to build relationships with older, responsible students through peer tutoring. Art Apprenticeship Program - The mentor spends 1 1/2 hours a week with a child for a minimum of 3 months. Benefits: Provides youth with an intensive skill opportunity in a particular area of interest.
